Recapping Summer Vacation (August)

I'm sad and happy to say that tomorrow will be my first day of school which means my final summer as a high schooler will be over along with the many adventures. This sure has been a summer to remember with a ton of memories with my friends. Tomorrow will definitely be a new adventure to endure with my senior year starting. I am both excited and terrified but I have many amazing people who will be by my side and helping me through all the chaos.

Southwestern Inspired Nails

After having gels on my nails for the past month, I have decided to keep them but add a design because the plain gels were just too boring for me. I found that you can use regular nail polish over gels and use non-acetone nail polish remover to fix any mistakes and take off the regular nail polish without damaging the gel. To create this design, I picked six colors and drew triangle shapes with a thin brush.

 

Traveling Nails

If you read my last post, you know that I just got back from two weeks traveling in Italy. I decided that since I was going to be away for two weeks to go with gel nails to keep them protected and so they would stay looking nice for the two weeks and not chip. I also didn't want to bring nail polish in case the bottles broke in the process of traveling because that would be a big mess.

I'm going to apologize in advance for any inactivity on here for the next few weeks. I am getting ready to start my senior year of high school and there is a lot to do before then so I will not be able to do my nails so I will be sticking with gel for awhile.

Recapping Summer Vacation (First Two Weeks of August)

Yesterday, I got home from an amazing two weeks in Italy with my family. My mother's side of my family is originally from northern Italy and she has wanted to go forever so we finally got the money and time to go so we left the United States for two weeks. It was amazing and I would suggest for anyone who has the chance to travel abroad to take it because you really learn a lot from being in another country.

Recapping Summer Vacation (July)

So July hasn't been as eventful as June was because I was work four times a week at a camp so there were a lot of days where I didn't do anything after and just napped. The other day, I spilled nail policy remover on my computer keyboard which had all of my pictures on it so the only ones I have to share is ones from this weekend.

Purple and Gold Nails

UI was in Target the other day and I saw Revlon's Gel Envy and I decided to give it a try. For the first day I had just purple but that was too plain for me so I decided that I needed to spice it up so I added some gold accent designs. I am really impressed by the topcoat because I've tried the Sally Hansen Gel and their topcoat smudged the design but Relvon's didn't. 

Colors Used: 

Purple: Revlon Gel Envy 

Gold: Sally Hansen Go For Gold

Topcoat: Revlon Gel Envy Diamond Topcoat

Ice Cream Nails

I was inspired by ice cream, duh, and this post by nail_boutique1 on Instagram. Since I am a strong believer in ice cream counts as a meal and that ice cream can cure anything, these nails had to happen.
