I was looking for a complex nail design for today because I had a lot of time and I wanted something that looked nice but took a lot of time. I saw these ruffle nails on ChalkboardNail.com so I decided to give them a try.
I spent about six hours working on this today. I put together a collection of all the nail polish that I own. Here is all the nail polish I own (organized by color):
For Christmas, I got a lot of nail polish from my brother. I made it easy on him by giving him a list of what I wanted. So here is a picture of what I got:

I know that I usually post my nails over the weekend but it was super busy and I am officially on vacation so they had to wait until this morning. I had a lot of inspiration for these nails from my friends advice, some Christmas nails that I did a few years ago, and some browsing on Pinterest. As I always do when I have complex nails, I first drew them on paper to figure out which colors I would need and how to set my nails up.

I am so excited about these nails and there is an amazing story behind them. To start, I was looking for something simple to do because I want them not be to extravagant. But they had to be gold. They have to be gold because today, I am getting my Girl Scout Gold Award. It is the highest award any Girl Scout can earn and I am so honored to have achieved it after my twelve years of Girl Scouts. Without going into to much detail, here is what I did; I worked with seven students from my high school to preform a show at a local assisted living home. If you are reading this and you helped me, thank you so much! I really appreciate everything that you did for me and all the help you gave me throughout the whole process!
Now to the nails, I created a very simple design using a white base, gold, and gold glitter. It not only shows my achievement but it also looks perfect for winter. I hope you enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone has a nice holiday!
Things that I'm thankful for:
1. My amazing family who are always supportive of me
2. My fantastic friends (new and old) who deal with me everyday, no matter how crazy I am
3. Anyone who has ever looked at this blog to get me to over 270 page views
4. My happiness that I have discovered this year
5. The children and teachers that I help with at my internship
6. That I have the access to a good education, clean water, food, and clothes because I know that there are a lot of people who don't have these things and I am grateful that I do have them
7. Nail polish because I have a nail art blog and it gives me a way to be creative
8. Candy, chocolate, and sweets because they are my favorite thing
9. Quotes and dancing because they speak for me when I do not know what to say
10. Music because it makes me happy and I love listening to different songs

"Be strong, you never know who you are inspiring."
Wow! When I logged on to put this post, I had 255 page views since I started this blog! I am so happy with this, I never thought I would get past 100. So thank you!
Now to the nails, I was not really sure what to do this week so I started by painting my nails tan yesterday because I took of my nail art from last weekend and I feel weird not having any polish on my nails so I went with a basic color that I could easily paint over today.
This morning, I was browsing Pinterest looking for some inspiration and I found these really cool nails that were simple but also looked cute.
I did not really like the stripes, polka dots, and roses all together so I just went for stripes. One of these days, I need to do nails with roses because they are one of my favorite flowers, my first being sunflowers. Maybe next weekend I'll paint roses, stay tuned.
I have another exciting announcement about upcoming nail art. I am going to be in my school's production of Dracula! I am super excited! My school has never really done a show that is creepy and eerie like Dracula but it is going to be fun! I am one of Dracula's brides. Stay tuned for these nails in March or so because that is when the show is.
This has been a very busy weekend for me. I was in my school's production of Peter Pan: the British Musical, which is very similar to the Disney version. I did not get home until 2am so I am a bit tired but I still have a nail design for you. It is very simple but it looks awesome!
It was inspired by HannahRoxNails on YouTube and one of her collaborations with LuLu's Blog.
My nails today have a lot going on and use fourteen nail polishes. My nails are inspired by the show my school is currently doing, Peter Pan: The British Musical, because I am in it. I am the Chief's wife and a pirate. I did not have a lot of time but I always do nails for the shows and I could not pass up this opportunity.
Last week, I got a Tumblr. I am still learning how to use it. I was told to get one by my friends because they really like my blog and wanted me to make a blog on Tumblr as well.
I have like 10 reposts and I am going to put in all my pictures from my blog on there in the next few hours. I will be posting pictures from here, funny things, and quotes mostly.

"People are the prettiest when they talk about something they really love with passion in their eyes."
Nails, quotes, space, laughing, and organizing things are my passions, follow me on this journey with me as I grow.
We all have a lot of feelings. If you think that you do not have a lot of feeling, I have plenty and I can share with you.
You have feelings about the person you like.
You have feelings about your friends.
You have feelings about your favorite activity.
You have feelings about objects like that key necklace from your great grandfather.
You have feelings about your parents.
You have feelings about your siblings.
You have feelings about your favorite place to visit.
You have feelings about your prized possession from your childhood.
You have feelings about your favorite song.
You have feelings about everything.
I have spent my whole life in New England and I love it here. I like every season equally but Fall is my favorite season hands down. It may be my strange obsession of apples and pumpkins but I still love Fall the most.
Today was the perfect Fall day for me. I got to stay inside and be warm and cozy but I also got to go outside and brave the crisp air.
These nails are not something that I thought I would like but I really like them.

I like the colors she choose because they make it look more sophisticated rather than other negative space nails that look sexy because of the colors. Also, I am a huge fan of pastels.
I did not know what to do on my nails this week so I asked my friends. One of them sent me these cool space/star nails:
I did not want to do something exactly like that so I went to the internet to find more space nail ideas. There were plenty of ideas, I just had to find the one that I liked best.
I really like space and astronomy because I think that it is interesting how all of the stars, galaxies, black holes, etc. are all surrounding us everyday but we do not know about most of it. Also, I think space is really pretty as shown by my new obsession with NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day. I was inspired by this picture from today of a Helix Nebula:
I designed these glitter nails with most of the glitter that I own. They are fairly simple and only took about thirty minutes. The only problem with them are that I had to put three topcoats on top because the glitter polishes eat up a lot of glitter.
These nails are in focus to show how they look in real life.
This nail art was also inspired by a picture on Pinterest and a YouTube Video.
